In this article the author discusses criteria for the selection of indicators to measure the contribution of municipal entities into the economy of constituent entity of the Russian Federation and methods for determining their impact/estimation on the economy of the region.

This article presents main methodological aspects of measuring the non-observed economic activities in order to obtain a more complete coverage of indicators of the System of National Accounts. The author separately considers ways for adjusting GDP, which is calculated using the production approach, income generation method and use of income method, by volumes of shadow (hidden) and informal economic activity for 2011 in the Republic of Belarus.

The authors of this article review issues, associated with developing the programme for the 2016 Russia census of agriculture and summarizing its results, with account to the information needs of agricultural management bodies of all levels, business, science and general public. It is proposed to make greater use of the census experience of the developed countries, allocation and comprehensive characterization of industrial types of enterprises, their accounting during sample surveys on the basis of census results.

The authors argue in favour of new criteria for the analysis of condition, dynamics, spatial features and violations of health demands new criteria for health, including children’s and reproductive health as important quality features of reproduction potential of society including gender features and the modern health system opportunities.

The necessity for carrying out a specialized sample reproductive health in the modern social and demographic conditions in the Republic of Belarus is described in the paper. Original methodology for the sample survey is considered, including the survey frame, determining the optimal sample size and design, statistical weighting procedure.

The article presents a new method of statistical assessment of dynamics and spatial comparison of health, which helps to evaluate the level of population health in regions of the Republic of Belarus in 2000-2012, as well as to conduct comparative analysis in spatial aspect, which in its turn allowed ranking regions of Belarus.

The article presents an analysis of morbidity of children aged 0-17 in the Russian Federation for the period 2010-2011. The authors note that over the last years the increase in children morbidity has been happening amidst the decline in the number of pediatric population in the Russian Federation by almost 1/3.The main negative trends in the health of the younger generation and major diseases, specific to this age group.

The article presents cross-regional comparative study on a level and social and economic structure of the parallel entrepreneurship that is typical business strategy in transitional Russian economy, that is based on the results of sample survey of population carried out as a part of the research project «Early-stage entrepreneurship in Russia: regional measurement» in the Laboratory on Entrepreneurship Research at the HSE.

The article presents a comprehensive economic and statistical analysis of formation and management of the budgetary resources in the Northern regions of the Russian Federation. The analysis has revealed problems that occurred during implementation of the state fiscal policy, prospects of forming budgetary resources in regions of the North are determined, and the directions for further institutional transformations in the fiscal sphere are substantiated.

The article contains materials about general description of the methodological approaches for the compliance of the external sector statistics, conceptual and categorical framework and classifications of the balance of payments statistics, its interconnections with the System of National Accounts (SNA), banking sector statistics and monetary statistics are revealed; information and legal basis for the compliance of the balance of payments statistics in the Russian Federation, provided by the Bank of Russia are presented. Some directions for the increase in efficiency of integrating Russia into the system of the international division of labour on the basis of urgent measures of state economic policy are determined.

The article considers main analysis and forecasting methods of the foreign trade indicators; factors, influencing exports and imports of products (goods) in 1991-1998 and under current conditions, are presented. The authors provide statistical characteristics, reflecting specific features of periods under review.

From a perspective of the economic safety of the Russian Federation, the author of this article analyzes the dynamics of the external trade amidst Russia WTO accession. Assessed is the influence of the reduction of the customs duties to the volume of the foreign trade; trends, emerging in exports-imports operations between Russia, CIS counties and other countries, during the last year, are considered.

In this article (which is a continuation of one published in «Voprosy Statistiki», 2013, № 11) in the format of international comparative analysis, agriculture (labour saving TMP) is examined in two variations - classic (presented in the USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, Kazakhstan) and West European (countries of the Western Europe and Turkey); agriculture (land-saving TMP) is also presented in two variants - classic (countries of the Southern, Southeast and Eastern Asia) and Middle Eastern (countries of the Middle East and Northern Africa).
