Author Guidelines

Editorial board accepts for publication original articles content of which corresponds to the journal’s subjects; it should be no less than 0.5 author's sheets in electronic file format (*.doc or *.docx), and should be sent by e-mail (voprstat@yandex.ru). We also accept submissions online, via the form available at our website. An article submitted for publication should have a clear structure, and contain introduction, formulation of the objective (subject matter), description of basic methods, results and future research directions along with some conclusions. The article should also indicate sections (subsections) it includes.

Along with the article the author should submit abstract (summary) and keywords (from 4 to 6 words) in both Russian and English. The abstract (recommended volume is from 200 to 250 words) should include brief introduction to the topic and main problems highlighted in the article, its objective and research results. The article should indicate weather it contains any scientific novelty compared to other publications on the same subject.

In accordance with the international standards the submitted article should have JEL classification codes (see http://www.aeaweb.org/jel/jel_class_system.php). List of references in Russian should be placed after the main body of the article. Bibliographic record for the list of references should be compiled in accordance with the State Standard (GOST R 7.0.5-2008). Each source should have a number.

List of references used in the article should include no less than 12 items (for the most part, scientific publications in periodicals). In the text the references to sources are given in square brackets (source is indicated by the sequence number in the bibliographic list and page number, if necessary). The list should not include laws and regulations, statistical handbooks, official documents, archive materials, Internet publications. References to such materials should be given in the text by footnotes. Numbering of footnotes should be continuous.

A list of references should also be translated into English. The translated bibliographic list (References) should be made in accordance with the standards adopted in Western scientific journals.

Information about the author(s) submitted along with the article should indicate the authors’ place of work, position, scientific title, scientific degree, address, contact telephone number and e-mail. Information about the author(s) (i.e. spelling of the name and surname, place of work) should be translated into English.

When printing an article in a text editor or Word processor, one should follow the generally accepted typing standards: font Times New Roman; font size - 14; line spacing - 1.5; text alignment - by width; aligning headers - centered; color of text, headings, tables and drawings - black; paragraph break should be made by indentation. For semantic selections in the text, it is necessary to use bold and italic outlines. Text can be emphasized by using. boldface and italics.

Creating a scientific table, one should use a separate cell for each value. All visible cell borders should be black and have a0.5 ptline width. Aligning text and numbers inside cells must be done only by using common ways, rather than by spaces or blank lines. Enter key is not allowed be used inside the cells (exception: "cell caps").

For graphs and diagrams, it is necessary to represent the tables of digital data in the original format (MS Excel, MS Graf, etc.). Diagrams from MS Excel to a Word document must be inserted as objects (Edit - Paste Special). Illustrative material should be numbered continuously (Table 1, Table 2 or Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.).

Photographs, if supplied as electronic images, should be supplied in TIFF format, of the best possible quality and at higher possible resolution and colour depth (at least 300 dpi). When sending photos by e-mail, *.jpeg format is allowed in order to reduce the volume.

Graduate students and undergraduates who submit their articles for publication in the journal based on the results of the research should submit a review of the supervisor.

The editorial board does not consider materials published earlier or sent to other periodicals, as well as those that do not meet the above requirements.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
